Well...Already the trip is making memories. This morning I woke up and John drove me to the airport, but it was the wierdest feeling to just be dropped at check in and have to go and take care of everything myself. I met Beau in the line and we started making the usual racket that disturbed most everyone else...and wouldn't you know it Marlee joined us in line, man I felt sorry for all the other American Airline passengers...ha. Well the group had to be there 2 hours early because of international flights, but we were only flying to Miami, so our 12 were the only ones at the gate for a while. We decided to explore the airport and we happened to run into Coach Richt and his family on their way to Liberia..random, but it must be beautiful?? Anywho...we flew to Miami, caught lunch/dinner in the airport and arrived in Quito at 8pm. We had to leave Chris Poe at the airport to pick up Milner's later flight in from Buenos Aires so that she wasn't greeted by only a random Ecuadorian guy. Quito is at a really high elevation...i mean serious nausea, but it wasn't too bad and we just took some medicine and drank alot of water. Meanwhile the rest of us went to the hotel for a little grub and some water...aka the elevation was getting to us. Marlee, Caitlin, Milner and I decided to talk for a bit and the hotel security was called to our room....shocker cause we were laughing so much...but Marlee and I pretended to be asleep and we could hear Milner talking to the men in Spanish, but they eventually left us alone. Day One...Mission of Disturbing everyone possible accomplished...haha!!
